This paper is concerned with some cases of reducibility to quadratures of the equation describing the static equilibrium of a submerged pipe. The equations are derived neglecting flexural rigidity: it is shown that for many real cases, this approximation is satisfactory. The equilibrium configuration may be explicitly expressed by means of elementary trascendental functions when the ratio between the weight per unit lengh in air and in the water is an integer.
