The EPR spectra of solid solutions of ferric oxide in scandium oxide have been studied. When the concentration of the ferric ions increases the typical spectrum of the isolated ions observed in the dilute samples is gradually replaced by a strong Lorentzian spectrum which is attributed to clusters of magnetically coupled ferric ions. An approximate value of the range of action of the exchange forces and the kind of magnetic behaviour of the concentrated samples is deduced from the EPR spectra.
