Sunto
In this note the A A. discuss the first results obtained in carrying out three series of chorion-allantoic transplantations of small pieces of extraembryonic area, including the terminal or peripheric sinus of chick embryos at 2-3-4 days of development. The overall age of transplantations varies from a minimum of 3 days to a maximum of 12 days. The transplanted extraembryonic area, including the marginal sinus, presents blood cell elements corresponding to the main stages of development of first generation erythrocytes described in the literature. Moreover it always shows young proerythroblastlike elements- observed in the same marginal area, in control embryos too-which give evidence of an hematopoietic activity of this area.
