In this paper we consider the problem of the motion of an artificial satellite revolving round the earth and the moon, and we show that the centre of libration, situated between the earth and the moon, is an asymptotic point for the motion. Furthermore, there are periodic orbits that are tangential, at the centre of libration, to the straight line joining the earth and the moon, for both the outward and the return journey.
